Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Culpeper

Piedmont United Way Member Agency       The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club is not only a place where middle-school age children can have a lot of fun they also learn good character and improve their grades. "We're one-stop shopping for children after school." says Rob Bridges, SABGCA Club Program Director. Children can fmish their homework, learn how to playa guitar, have a Bible study and play basketball all in one afternoon.
SABGCA is held at Culpeper Middle School. The program begins right after school and ends at 6:15PM and is for ages 11-15. Cost is only $35 for an entire school year. (The fee does not cover special events, classes or the 3-week summer program). "It's a great bargain for underprivileged children, or for any child that wants to have fun and learn in the process," continues Mr. Bridges. "This is a Christian club where all members and volunteers are respected in a friendly and structured atmosphere."
In April 2004, the SABGCA became an officially chartered extension club of The National Boys and Girls Club of America. This charter allows them to benefit from the many programs of the national organization. "The charter gives us credibility as an organization and takes us to the next level" says Philip Day, Culpeper Salvation Army Director. "We would like to find several businesses or individuals who would be interested in sponsoring a positive youth club for children in Culpeper. Become a partner now in helping young people reach their highest potential."
